E. Brian Smith, CEO and President
Mr. Smith has a total of 41 years of experience in the engineering and construction industry. First with Ray & Berndtson, then as President of CareerSmith, he has been specializing in retained executive recruiting since 1997. His ten years as a recruiter have been spent serving the engineering and construction industry.

Prior to that, Mr. Smith has held positions with major engineering and construction firms, including Fluor Daniel, International Technology Corporation, and Smith Technology, a firm he began in 1992. It grew to be the tenth largest company of its kind in the United States with 1100 employees. He sold the company in 1997. He has had professional experience working in the infrastructure and mining and metals businesses, as well as regional leadership in the Middle East, Africa, and Thailand.

Mr. Smith spent six years in the Navy Civil Engineer Corps. He earned a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from Purdue University and a master’s degree in financial management from George Washington University.

Tony Bolliger, COO and Vice President
Mr. Bolliger joined CareerSMITH, Inc. in 2003 after having spent 10 years in the environmental and construction industries. Prior to joining CareerSMITH, Mr. Bolliger was employed as a Senior Project Manager for a billion dollar environmental engineering and remediation firm located in Northern California. Projects included managing large-scale remediation programs for the Department of Defense, environmental consulting, technical assistance with hazardous waste management, and management of solid waste construction projects.

Mr. Bolliger is a Partner and currently the Chief Operations Officer of CareerSMITH. He provides oversight and leadership throughout the entire search process including directing research, candidate prospecting and development and interviewing and presenting qualified candidates. Mr. Bolliger maintains strong relationships with the client in order to fully understand their needs. This results in high-quality candidates. Mr. Bolliger is intimately involved in the interview process of prospective candidates and in integrating the successful candidate into the client organization.

Mr. Bolliger holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry from Villanova University in Villanova, PA.
